Contact Grabber is an application used to fetch contacts from various email & social networking sites. The sites included are Rediff, Orkut, Myspace, Yahoo, Gmail and MSN Messenger.
Yahoo, Gmail, MSN Messenger scripts have been used as they were available GPLed. Orkut, Rediff & Myspace were developed by Magnet. All of them were packaged together which was not available Open Source so far. This is the first project of its kind available Open Source.

The application has got good initial response and has seen over 550 downloads from Sourceforge.net in 25 days. This is a result of listing on various sites like PHPClasses & Hotscripts.
Next releases
Within a month, we have already released Version 0.2 and now Version 0.3 will be out in couple of days. Version 0.1 had the limitation of Orkut & MSN Messenger not working on Windows installations of PHP. That was overcome in Version 0.2.
The latest release is Version 0.3 which will contain the following features:
- Count of Number of contacts for each site
- Option to save the contacts in a CSV file for each site
