Nirav Mehta
Chairman / Chief Mentor
Nirav Mehta is the founder director of Magnet and has shaped the company's growth since May 1999. Under Nirav's exemplary leadership, the company has grown from a four people single technology unit to more than fifty people multiple technology organization. He shares responsibility for Magnet's day-to-day operations with Ashok Karania.
Nirav is gearing Magnet for the next level of growth after successfully meeting challenges over the last 5 years including Dot Com bust, September 11 backlash etc. He is primarily responsible for charting company's technology vision, research areas, strategic planning and marketing efforts. A programmer by heart and an entrepreneur by profession, Nirav brings to Magnet a explosive blend of creativity and strong analytical mind.
Nirav has special acumen to blend business objectives with tangible profitable solutions for clients. His passionate commitment and personal involvement ensure that Magnet continues to provide agile, robust and innovative solutions. He believes in the ancient Indian saying "Client Is God".
While not attending conferences or lecturing as speaker, he can be found brainstorming with customers, developers and community members for radical ideas for future. Nirav has several firsts to his credit.
Nirav has featured in magazines and publications like Indian Management, Linux For You, Living Computers and Teens Today. His high profile visit to Microsoft HQ to meet Bill Gates was extensively covered on India's leading Hindi News Channel, Aaj Tak. His work has been published in publications like Linux For You, Teens Today, JAM, The Official PHP-GTK Website etc. He has featured as a speaker at Linux Bangalore, ACM, Symbiosis Institute and Linux Users Group. He is an active think tank of community forums like Linux Users Group Mumbai and coordinator of Gujarati Localization of GNOME, KDE and OpenOffice.
Nirav graduated from Narsee Monjee College in April 2000 with specialization in Accountancy. He completed his postgraduate diploma in software technology from National Center for Software Technology, Mumbai in 2002.

Ashok Karania
CEO / MD
Ashok Karania was named Chief Executive Officer of Magnet in August 2004, after consulting the organization for more than half a decade. He shares responsibility for Magnet's day to day operations with Nirav Mehta.
Magnet is gearing up for an exciting phase of rapid growth with Ashok at helm of affairs. He is responsible for company's strategic planning, management, organization building and marketing efforts. He is building Magnet as an agile and fast growing technology firm by introducing a series of innovative and thoughtful initiatives. And he intends to achieve the same without sacrificing the founding vision, entrepreneurial spirit and culture of Magnet. His mantra is: "Great organizations are about characters and values, not techniques".
Ashok also brings to Magnet a thirst for excellence. His unrelenting focus on superior value quality and creative solutions is instrumental in exceeding customer requirements proactively and effectively. His approach is essentially 'client centric', and importantly 'people centric'. He believes ordinary individuals when empowered and motivated can produce extraordinary results.
Prior to joining Magnet, Ashok worked with the Indian subsidiary of German FMCG giant Henkel. At Henkel SPIC, he demonstrated exemplary sales performance in Mumbai, Pune & Nagpur. He was also credited with turnaround of Western Maharashtra & Vidharbha region and building MIS driven systems. Ashok's articles have featured in publications like The Economic Times and Teens Today. He represented Henkel SPIC at ET Brand Equity Quiz 2004.
Ashok graduated from Narsee Monjee College in April 1999 with specialization in Accountancy & Computer Applications. He completed his post graduation in management with specialization in marketing and finance from S P Jain Institute Of Management & Research, Mumbai in April 2002.

Ajay Shanghavi
Director
Mr. Ajay Shanghavi is a an Engineer with Marketing Management qualification. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing businesses in Engineering Manufacturing Companies, International Trading, Media and IT Companies. Mr. Shanghavi has been working as Group Director with Comcraft Group for past 17 years. He is currently on Board of several companies in India representing Comcraft Group.

Vishal Kothari
Chief Technology Officer
Vishal Kothari is the Chief Technology Officer of Magnet.
Vishal manages the Mobile and Web Solutions team. Vishal has managed a whole spectrum of technologies including PHP, Linux, C++, Symbian etc. He also drives the quality movement at Magnet. Vishal is the one-man army with endless energy and amazing people management skills.
Vishal Kothari has completed his Bachelor's of Engineering in IT from Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur in June 2004. He has earlier done his Diploma in Computer Technology from Bombay Institute of Technology, Worli in April 2001. He has earlier worked with Magnet from June 2002 to September 2003.
