Ichibaan Honda is Bombay's leading agent for Honda cars. With two massive showrooms spread across the southern and western suburbs of Bombay, Ichibaan offered complete customer satisfaction for sales and after sales services for its Honda cars. However the company looked forward to an online marketing channel and provides better customer support and interaction.

Provide an online presence. Develop timesaving tools such as online test-drive and service booking facilities. Integration of Intranet with website for easy data management and updating.

MagNet's team spent 4 weeks with executives from various departments at Ichibaan to understand the existing workflow and data processing systems. The information was complied and suitable tools developed in PHP to make the site not only information base for Honda models but also provided the customers various services/tools online.
Our team created and implemented the following solutions:
- Using digital photography and Flash designs we presented the latest Honda models and in some impressing presentations at the website.
- Once again using Flash we created a "Color you Honda" - This paint tool, allowed the customer to see the Honda, in the various colors available.
- To provide value-added service to the customers, the website offers a "tips and help" section to the diver for a better driving experience. This not only attracted the visitor but also increased the stickiness for the website.
- With a view to keep the customer better informed on his car services and present condition all information from the Intranet was imported into the website. Every car owner using his login can view the service history and the car status during the last service. For example he can retrieve his Kms Reading, Conditions of Tires etc.
- The website was connected to the sales Intranet at the back-end thus streamlining the sales enquiries received on the website. This not only allowed for quicker customer servicing but also saved the Sales Team valuable time.
- MagNet also suggested Ichibaan to start accepting online bookings for Test-Drives and Car Servicing. This not only enabled Ichibaan to now manage these services efficiently but also helped the customer the facility to make these bookings as per their convenience.
Bottom Line
- Various offline tasks were automated via the Intranet saving each executive at Ichibaan at least 40 minutes everyday.
- The Online Test-Drive tool enabled the sales team to have better control and management of this operation.

MagNet developed a very user-friendly site keeping the customer in mind who would be accessing the website on a dial-up connection. The system was designed using Flash, dHTML and is operated on a MySQL and PHP enabled Linux Server. Windows Media technology was used to offer streaming video files.
